Happy 4th of July from Mexico Beach

Below are a couple of Fireworks pictures taken by Marie at the only Jewelery Store in Mexico Beach. Check out her website; http://www.mariestephensphotography.com/

The beach was packed this past weekend! We had beautiful weather all week! The fireworks display in Mexico Beach was great as were all the individual fireworks up and down the beach! This was the busiest I've seen Mexico Beach! Glad to see everybody come and glad to see them go! It's a love hate relationship!

As for the real estate market----It was EXTREMELY busy over the weekend. I didn't anticipate that because holiday weekends are typically slow, people having too much fun!! I'll never complain about being busy though!!!

Not a lot of properties actually put under contract but definitely a lot of real buyers, not just tire kickers!

>4 bed/2 bath townhouse about 1 mile from the beach, closed at $145,000.
>Vacant lot right on Hwy 98 across from the beach--sold at $145,500, bank owned.

Interest rates dipped a little, although financing is not quite as easy as before. Be prepared to put 20% down on any investment residential property and sometimes 50% on a vacant lot!!!
